As we begin the new year, I was moved by the verse in Mathew Chapter 25:26-30(MSG) when God is referring to the idea of taking risks.  When addressing the person who refused to take a risk with what the master had given him, God says:  " . . . That’s a terrible way to live! It’s criminal to live cautiously like that!  God is very emphatic about his desire for us to live fully, and without timidity.  He wants us to be "risk-takers", to go "all out" in this "one and only" life we have been given.  God is not saying to be reckless, but to live with courage, passion, and to be willing to make mistakes.  He encourages us to trust that he has made provision for both our successes, as well as our mistakes.  He is the God of all; His resources are inexhaustible, and unending.  He understands that humans need to make mistakes in order to learn. So, listen today as you are encouraged and inspired to go after God's best for you!
